Classical Ballet Academy was founded in 2004 and teaches from 5516 SE Foster Road in Portland, Oregon. Its stated mission is to educate, inspire and transform dancers of all ages through the study of classical ballet and supplemental dance forms, and it describes itself as a body-positive, community-based school that promotes fairness, equity, diversity and inclusion across race, age, disability, faith, class, gender identity and other identities. Alongside its ballet syllabus the academy offers creative movement and pre-ballet for ages three to seven, contemporary, jazz, tap, modern, hip hop, musical theatre, Pilates for dancers, an inclusive dance program, adult drop-in classes and a competition team.
