Oregon Ballet School

Oregon Ballet School is a private, year-round ballet school in Portland, Oregon, teaching a curriculum based on the syllabi of the Royal Academy of Dance in London. It trains both aspiring professionals and enthusiastic hobbyists. The Children's Division begins with Pre-Primary for ages four and five, then Primary and Grade 1, with instruction aimed at developing basic motor and social skills alongside age-appropriate ballet technique and vocabulary; Grades 2 to 5, for ages eight and up, attend two classes a week. Children's and Vocational Division students sit the annual Royal Academy of Dance examinations and class awards. The Vocational Division serves ages eleven and up across Intermediate Foundation to Advanced 2, attending three to five classes a week, with pointe work introduced at Intermediate Foundation. The Adult Division offers intermediate classes in person and on Zoom, plus Silver Swans classes for ages 55 and over.
