Charla Jennings

Charla's Creative Dance has operated since 1994 and is run by Charla Jennings, who teaches ballet, creative movement and ballroom to students of all ages from 3 upward. Rather than running a single studio, classes are held at Seattle community centers: Ballroom and Latin Dance on Tuesday evenings at Meadowbrook Community Center, a Let's Dance class on Thursdays at Northgate Community Center, Pre-Ballet and Ballet I on Wednesdays at Magnolia Community Center, and Pre-Ballet and Ballet on Saturdays at Loyal Heights Community Center. Private, group and semi-group lessons are scheduled around students' availability. Jennings is a certified ballroom instructor in rhythm, smooth and theater arts, covering salsa, Argentine and American tango, hustle, paso doble, several swing styles, nightclub two step, Viennese waltz, quickstep, waltz, foxtrot, international rumba, samba, cha cha and jive. She has danced with Cornish Dance Theater, choreographed for films, recitals, weddings, competitions and an opera, and is available for pro-am competitions, parties, pageant training and theatre productions.
