About this studio
Champaign Urbana Ballet is a non-profit ballet organization at 2816 West Clark Road in Champaign, Illinois. Its stated mission is to promote classical and contemporary ballet, offer performance opportunities to talented youth, and enrich and involve the community through the art of dance. The organization mounts full-length story ballets, with The Nutcracker as its annual production alongside stagings of The Little Mermaid, Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and Cinderella, each cast by open audition. It maintains a company of dancers, a professional staff, a board of directors and its own costume shop. Training is delivered through the affiliated Champaign Ballet Academy, where ballet class registration is handled for the autumn season.
