About this studio
Cazenovia School of Ballet opened in the summer of 1995 to bring classical ballet training to young dancers in the Cazenovia area of Central New York. Its curriculum runs from Pre-Primary and Primary Ballet through graded Classical Ballet Technique levels following the Royal Academy of Dancing syllabus of London, England, with additional disciplines in Pointe, Modern, Jazz and Contemporary. Classes are open to children from age three upward and extend to professional-level work, and a separate adult dance class program is also offered. The school runs a Summer Dance Camp for younger dancers and a Summer Intensive for more advanced students. Each year it presents a Spring Performance giving every student a chance to appear on stage, and produces a full-length Nutcracker that has become a local holiday tradition, danced by children for children. New students are welcomed year round.
