Dance classes in West Hills, California
California Dance Classics is not a dance school but a youth ballet and contemporary dance competition organization based in Sherman Oaks, California. It presents adjudicated classical ballet and contemporary events for student dancers aged 4 to 21, drawing entrants from across the United States and abroad. Its 2027 season comprises three events: San Diego at the Joan B. Kroc Theatre (4-7 February), San Francisco at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts (17-21 February) and Los Angeles at the Downey Theater (3-7 March). Competition categories cover Classical Repertoire, National Character, Neo-Classical and Contemporary. Each event day opens with an onstage master class, and participants receive audio-video adjudication feedback and scholarship opportunities. Admission for audiences is free. The organization is supported in part by the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture.
Boston Ballet School will present NEXT GENERATION, a one-night-only performance featuring Boston Ballet II, Graduate Program dancers, and Professional Division students in classical and contemporary works at the Citizens Opera House.
