Carousel Dance Studio was established in 1984 and has provided dance education in the West San Fernando Valley for around 40 years, operating from 23715 Roscoe Boulevard in West Hills, California. It teaches ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, musical theatre, tumbling and more, with classes for children and adults from age 3 upward at all levels. The studio's stated philosophy is that dance is for everyone, and it aims to provide a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment where programs promote physical fitness, artistic expression and personal growth. Provision is organized into a fall/spring session running from August, a separate summer schedule, and the Carousel Dance Company performance group. The studio also runs an I-Dance program and publishes class information, tuition rates and a studio calendar of events and closure dates.
Legendary performer Carol Channing has been named the honoree for the Professional Dancers Society's (PDS) annual Gypsy Awards Luncheon, it was announced by PDS President, Mitzi Gaynor and PDS Board Chairman, Joni Berry.
