About this studio
Orange County School of Dance, based in Monroe, New York, teaches dance, music, art and theatre. Its ballet syllabus runs from Pre-Ballet for ages 2.5 to 4 through Ballet I to VI, with each level normally taken over two years and the upper levels requiring several years of continuous training and at least two classes a week; entry to Ballet VI and to a Variations class is by permission. Pointe is offered at three levels, beginning at a minimum age of 11 by permission only. Parallel graded tracks run in modern/contemporary, jazz, tap and hip hop from age 5 up to teens. All classes are one hour, except the 45-minute Pre-Ballet, and all are coed.
