The University of Texas at Arlington Department of Theatre Arts and Dance presents Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812, an electropop opera by Dave Malloy inspired by Tolstoy's War and Peace. Directed by Anne Healy, with choreography by Sarah Fagan and music direction by Vicky Nooe, the production features BFA Musical Theatre major Jalyn Roberson in the lead role of Natasha. The six-performance run from February 26 to March 2 will transport audiences to 19th-century Russia through a contemporary lens, blending various musical styles and immersive staging. The creative team also includes scenic designer Gabrielle Marbrough and lighting designer Leah Mazur.
