Rock of Ages Off-Broadway at TexARTS Theatre & Academy

"Rock of Ages" tells the story of a small-town girl, Sherrie, who travels to Hollywood with dreams of stardom, and a city boy, Drew, who aspires to be a rock star, as they fall in love amidst the backdrop of the Sunset Strip in the late 1980s. Their romance unfolds against the backdrop of a legendary rock club, "The Bourbon Room," which is threatened with demolition by developers. The musical is filled with 80s rock anthems and explores themes of love, ambition, and the fading glory of the rock and roll era.
