SISTER ACT to be Presented at The Firehouse Theatre in Farmers Branch, TX

The Firehouse Theatre will continue the 2026 “Raise Your Voice” season with Sister Act, running May 14-31. Based on the hit 1992 with music by Alan Menken (Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast), Sister Act is an inspiring, roof-raising, feel-good musical comedy smash! The madcap plot is set in motion when disco diva Deloris Van Cartier (Micaela Workman) witnesses a murder and must go into hiding in a convent where she clashes – hilariously – with cloistered life.

Disguised as a nun, Deloris finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior (Bridget Hopewell). Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the Queen of Angels, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.

When asked what drew her to Sister Act, Director Pamela Anglero’ shared, “I’ve always been drawn to stories where music becomes a force for transformation, and Sister Act does that in such a joyful and unexpected way. At its core, this story is about redemption, purpose, and the beauty of being brought into community right when you need it most. It’s full of heart, humor, and soul, and I truly believe audiences will feel that joy and light.”

Tickets to Sister Act are $41 for adults and $37 for students, seniors, educators, and first responders. Saturday matinee performances are $37. Walk-up $20 rush tickets are available 30 minutes before Thursday night performances and must be purchased in-person at the box office. (Rush tickets are $17 plus a $3 convenience fee and are subject to availability.)

Flex 10 and Flex 6 packages are still available, providing the best value for the remaining mainstage productions in The Firehouse Theatre’s 2026 Season. Flex tickets can be used in any combination for the 2026 MainStage Season. Benefits include priority access to seating and performance dates, as well as the best per-ticket price.
Preview Night takes place Thursday, May 14, with Opening Night following on Friday, May 15. Visit www.TheFirehouseTheatre.com for more information and to purchase season or individual tickets. The Firehouse Theatre is located at 2535 Valley View Lane in Farmers Branch.
