Tony Award-winning Broadway powerhouse Idina Menzel is coming to Dallas on June 17, 2010 to perform her first-ever show in the great state of Texas.  Idina will be the special guest vocalist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra as part of a cross-country outing backed by local symphonies.

Tickets are on sale now by visiting their site here and range $35 - $80.  VIP seats are available for a limited time to members of Idina Menzel's Official Fan Club.

Idina Menzel first made a name for herself on Broadway in smash hit musical RENT in 1996 as spunky bisexual performance artist Maureen, a role that earned her a Best Featured Actress Tony nomination.  She has also starred in Andrew Lippa's 2000 production of The Wild Party, Elton John's Aida, Michael John LaChiusa's See What I Wanna See, and most notably as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West in Broadway juggernaut Wicked, the role that earned her the Best Actress Tony in 2004.  She has also appeared on the silver screen in Disney's Enchanted and the film adaptation of RENT.  Currently, she's guest starring in multiple episodes of Fox's hugely popular series Glee.  She is also a Warner Bros. recording artist, and her solo album I Stand, as well as a 6-track EP that features studio and live tracks, are currently on sale via iTunes.
