Dallas Theater Center has announced it is partnering with the North Texas Food Bank for the fourth year in a row during the annual production of A Christmas Carol. DTC patrons have donated over $130,000 to the NTFB since the partnership began.
"A Christmas Carol is a long-standing tradition at Dallas Theater Center. We are thrilled that this tradition has expended to include a partnership with the North Texas Food Bank," says DTC Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty. "This partnership allows us to engage our audience outside of the theater and to increase awareness about the many faces of hunger. For the fourth year in a row, DTC is able to celebrate the spirit of this Dickens classic by partnering with our patrons to give to a worthy cause."The DTC and NTFB partnership includes two days of volunteering at the NTFB warehouse, collecting monetary donations after each performance and providing a place for A Christmas Carol patrons to donate non-perishable food items to the Food Bank.Videos
