Clue, the play based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie that was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, opens a four-week run at the Ridgefield Theater Barn on Friday, February 2nd. Based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn, written by Sandy Rustin with additional material by Hunter Foster and Eric Price, the production will be presented Friday and Saturday evenings from February 2nd to the 24th at 8pm, with Sunday matinees February 11th and 18th at 2pm. Special performances are February 11th (“Pay-What-You-Want”) and February 16th (Alcohol-Free evening). The Dramatist Play Service notes that “this hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by Wadsworth – the butler, Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!” Directed by David Fritsch, the cast features Matt Austin, Lisa Dahlstrom, David Michael Tate, Isabella Bertram, Matt Regney, Ryan Ellen Burbank, Sam Bass, Kymberly Smith, Liz Allen, Sean Latasa, and Greg McLaughlin. Seating is cabaret-style, doors open one hour prior to curtain, and the audience is invited to bring food and drinks (concessions are also available in the lobby). The Ridgefield Theater Barn is located at 37 Halpin Lane. Tickets are $35 for adults and $30 for seniors, students, and veterans. Reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made at ridgefieldtheaterbarn.org
