In 1843, Charles Dickens published A Christmas Carol. 5 years later he returned to the tale of a ghostly Christmas Eve visit, but with a very different protagonist. Freely adapted from Dicken’s final holiday novella, the new musical, THE HAUNTED MAN: A Fancy for Christmastime, also draws on the author’s public speeches and private letters to paint a portrait of an advocate for social reform disheartened by the slow pace of change. But when a spirit materializes that promises to help, he learns an ages-old lesson: be careful what you wish for. Charles Dickens' THE HAUNTED MAN: A Fancy for Christmastime will debut as benefit for Curtain Call in a special concert performance.
Curtain Call, Inc. is at 1349 Newfield Ave, Stamford, CT 06905, Stamford, CT.
