THE REALISH HOUSEWIVES: A PARODY U.S. Tour Kicks Off Tonight
The tour of "The Realish Housewives: A Parody" is a new, original play is created and written by veteran Chicago-based comics and Second City writers Kate James and Tim Sniffen.
In "The Realish Housewives: A Parody," audiences are treated to a reunion of the five "housewives," complete with all the booze, brawls and botox that have become the standard on reality television. In the great tradition of Second City, the play will be customized for each tour city, bringing hometown reality to the outlandish parody performance.
Cast for the tour includes: Katie Caussin (Gwen), Katy Carolina Collins (Claudia-Louise), Jackson Evans (Randy), Emjoy Gavino (Desiree), Lori McClain (Ravonka), and Lindsey Pearlman (Brooke).
The creative team includes Kate James and Tim Sniffen (authors), Eric Hoff (director), Theresa Akers (set design), John Kelly (lighting design), Katharine Horowitz (sound design), and Mieka Van Der Ploeg (costume Designer).
"The Realish Housewives: A Parody," premiered in September 2015 at the New Century Theater in Minneapolis. In this original satire performance, audiences laugh along with the loony ladies who lunch and the show's "host," Randy Bowen, as they take on current events and past scandals tailored for each tour city.
