CCM Jazz: Standard Deviation at CCM Patricia Corbett Theater

CCM Jazz Lab Band explores the innovations big bands have used to popularize and contribute to the “Great American Songbook.” Originally a title coined to describe popular songs from Tin Pan Alley, Broadway show tunes, or Hollywood musicals, the “Great American Songbook” has been a valuable resource for jazz musicians, providing inspiration for many great performances and recordings. Travel with us through time as we examine the efforts of notable jazz arrangers and their dedication to the development of the jazz standard.
