Midsommer Flight’s seventh annual holiday season staging of Shakespeare’s comedy in the beautiful Lincoln Park Conservatory. The twins Viola and Sebastian, travelling to Elyria by sea, are separated in a storm that wrecks their ship. Viola, after landing safely in Elyria, poses as a man in order to find work – causing much romantic confusion when her new employer, Duke Orsino, finds himself somehow attracted to this new employee. Meanwhile, the Countess Olivia, who the Duke wants to marry, becomes interested in Viola, believing she is a man. Olivia’s servant, Malvolio, imagines he can become a nobleman, but his ambitions are thwarted by the machinations of court members Sir Toby Belch, Sir Andrew Aguecheek, and the servant Maria. Admission is "pay-what-you-can." A $30 donation is suggested. Reservations are highly recommended.

Broken Nose Theatre Presents PLAINCLOTHES
October 09, 2018 Broken Nose Theatre is pleased to launch its seventh season with the world premiere dark comedy PLAINCLOTHES, written by company member Spenser Davis* and co-directed by Kanome Jones and Davis. Developed with much of the team behind BNT's runaway 2017 hit At The Table, PLAINCLOTHES will play November 9 - December 15, 2018 at its resident home, The Den Theatre (2A), 1331 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood.

Midsommer Flight Announces 2018 Season
March 26, 2018 Midsommer Flight will expand programming in its 2018 season to include a free TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA in the parks this summer, special staged reading of RICHARD III in spring and the holiday perennial TWELFTH NIGHT. Midsommer Flight, the professional not-for-profit theatre company that has been bringing free Shakespeare to Chicago parks since 2012, will expand its programming from two to three productions for its 2018 season. Founding Artistic Director Beth Wolf made the announcement today.
