BrightSide Theatre closes its 14th season with The Producers, Mel Brooks's Tony Award-winning musical comedy adapted from his 1967 film, directed by BrightSide Artistic Director Jeffrey Cass. The show follows hapless producers Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom as they scheme to make a fortune by staging Broadway's biggest flop, only to find their outrageous musical unexpectedly becomes a hit. Scott Kelley stars as Bialystock and Michael Metcalf as Bloom, with John B. Boss as the flamboyant director Roger DeBris, Michael John Lynch as Carmen Ghia, Myles Mattsey as Franz Liebkind, and Amelia Tam as Ulla Jacobson. The Producers runs June 12–28, 2026, at The Theater at Meiley-Swallow Hall on the campus of North Central College in Naperville.
