BoHo Theatre's Executive Director, Sana Selemon, has announced she will be stepping down from her position in March of 2023. Sana first performed with the company in 2018 in BoHo's production of 110 IN THE SHADE, and then again in BoHo's 2019 production of BIG FISH. Selemon then became a Company Member before taking over as Executive Director in August of 2020. BoHo's Board of Directors and Company Members have begun a search to find BoHo's next Executive Director.
BoHo Theatre will kick off its first mainstage production of 2022, NATIONAL MERIT, a world premiere play by up-and-coming playwright and Northwestern University graduate, Valen-Marie Santos, directed by BoHo Artistic Associate, Enrico Spada. The show will fun August 25 – September 25, 2022.
BoHo Theatre’s Artistic Director Stephen Schellhardt has announced that he will step down from the position at the end of the 2021 season. Schellhardt first joined the company in 2015 and took over as Artistic Director in 2019.
BoHo Theatre, now in its 17th season, will present a series of play readings via Zoom in lieu of in-person live performances, given the continued uncertainty about safety of live performance during the COVID pandemic. The reading series, called “In the Wings,” will feature four plays under consideration for full productions in future seasons. The theme for the reading series is “An Exploration of Truth.”
