Illinoise is directed and choreographed by Tony winner Justin Peck, with story by Peck and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Jackie Sibblies Drury, based on Sufjan Stevens' landmark album Illinois. The dance-musical tells a hauntingly beautiful original story through live music, dance, and theater. After a sold-out world premiere at Chicago Shakespeare in 2024, the production went on to Broadway and now returns to CST as part of the 40th Anniversary Season.
