Carmela Full of Wishes is adapted from the book by Matt de la Peña and illustrated by Christian Robinson, adapted for the stage by Alvaro Saar Rios and directed by Sonya Madrigal. The story follows Carmela on her birthday as she joins her big brother on family errands and discovers a lone dandelion, prompting her to consider what to wish for amid her family's struggles as a Latino migrant family. The production portrays a charming young girl's big city migrant community as a vibrant world of hope and possibility. This is a return of CCT's 2022 world premiere, ideal for ages 6 and up.
