AS IS is a poignant drama by William Hoffman that explores the emotional landscape of a group of friends in New York City during the early days of the AIDS epidemic. The story centers on Rich, a writer diagnosed with AIDS, who navigates personal and societal challenges, aided by his ex-lover Saul, who offers him support. This production marks the 40th anniversary of the play's debut, which has been a significant work in gay theater since its premiere in 1985. Directed by Michael D. Graham, the show runs from March 28 to April 13, 2025, at Open Space Arts.
