23rd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration Concert at Music Institute of Chicago

The 23rd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration Concert will take place on January 18 at Nichols Concert Hall, featuring performances by professional and student musicians. This year's focus highlights the intersection of music and Dr. King's visionary words, showcasing a world premiere choral work by Abisola Toukourou performed by Hearing in Color's Chroma Vocal Ensemble. Keynote speaker Dr. Jonathan Bailey Holland, dean of Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music, will also contribute to the event, which includes performances from Chicago-area artistic partners such as the Evanston Children's Choir and Dance Center Evanston.
