Wild Horizon is a free public circus and play festival produced by Almanac Projects in partnership with Ninth Planet, Rebel Arts Movement, and the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, taking place May 2 & 3 at Cherry Street Pier in Philadelphia. The festival features contemporary circus, dance, and clown performances for audiences of all ages, including works from Ninth Planet, Australian artist Stephen Noonan (The PaperBoats), Well-Balanced Dads, Hooligans & Co, Full Out Formula, dancers Esther Baker and Tammy Carrasco, and juggling installations from David Chervony and Stephen Doutt. At the heart of the festival is Wild Seeds, a residency program where international circus, dance, and performance artists create new site-specific work on the pier, presented as pop-up shows, roaming performances, and interactive encounters throughout the waterfront. Rebel Arts Movement will also engage young people of all skill levels in hands-on circus activities over the weekend.
