FAMILY DRAMA THAT ISN'T YOURS

Sonia and Vanya are two middle-aged siblings with no direction in life. After spending years taking care of their now deceased parents, neither have jobs and both spend their days watching the yard in Bucks County, PA, and ruminating on how many trees make up an orchard. Upheaval occurs when their sister Masha, on whom they depend for money, arrives with a new boyfriend. Add a cleaning lady soothsayer and the characters each become memorable in their own way. Winner of the 2013 Tony Award and New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play, The New York Times wrote “Broad comic acting is raised to the level of high art…deliriously funny…a heedless good time.”
