Join Gamut Theatre Group's Harrisburg Shakespeare Company for the 28th Annual Free Shakespeare in the Park! Don't miss the Green Show! Watch a 15-minute spoof of Hamlet before the main performance. Five shows only: June 4, 5, 10, 11 & 12Come early with your own blankets or chairs to grab a spot on the lawn and enjoy Shakespeare under the stars! Although admission is free, we will be collecting canned good items for Bethesda Mission and encourage you to bring a donation.Hamlet is one of the most powerful and influential tragedies in the English language. Gamut Theatres interpretation focuses in on an almost-but-not-quite post-pandemic world. In a world where weve all been irrevocably changed by a global pandemic, Hamlets grief hits differently. Could this rotten smell of Denmark be the same lingering stench seeping into our own backyard? The Tragedy of Hamlet will give this new world meaning for our audiences, whether it be time to grieve what has been lost, time to giggle at puns and dirty jokes, or time to commune with the outdoors and with other humans.
