The concert begins with Strauss’ Roses from the South and Beethoven’s lighthearted Overture to Fidelio. From a menacing beginning to an electrifying finish, Georges Bizet memorable Carmen Suites tells the fated story of a lovestruck soldier and passionate Carmen in two suites.
