A lesser-known masterpiece by William Finn, the Tony Award-winning creator of Falsettos and The 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee, A New Brain is beautiful musical comedy coming to The Theatre Lab for a one-night-only, fully staged reading by students of our Advanced Musical Theatre Intensive (AMTI)!
Facing a life-threatening brain condition, Gordon struggles to come to terms with his life, career, and relationships. A semi-autobiographical piece from the author William Finn, this quirky and fantastical musical tragedy puts the healing power of art center stage. The gorgeous music includes classics like “Heart and Music,” “I’d Rather Be Sailing,” and “I Feel So Much Spring.”
