It's a game! It's a play! It's an experiment in truly connecting with the audience, testing the limits of intimacy and the roots of performance. Originally conceived to be performed in people’s living rooms, Carl Holder's remarkable solo show “Out Of Order” is an up-close and personal experience unlike any you've ever had in a theatre – one that’ll leave you stunned, moved, and on the verge of tears when you aren’t laughing your ass off. Fifty index cards containing written instructions are selected one at a time from a bin and performed in whatever order the universe dictates. PLEASE BE ADVISED: due to the intimate nature of the piece (and the venue itself), audience members will wind up in close proximity both to the performer and to their inner selves. Prepare accordingly. We guarantee, you've never experienced anything like this one before. Come visit your new friend Carl and be prepared to laugh, cry, and have the way you see the world changed forever. Thursdays – Sundays August 29 – September 8. Bridge Street Theatre, 44 West Bridge Street, Catskill, NY. For more details and to purchase tickets, visit bridgest.org/out-of-order/ Photo: Rhys Evan Whitmore

Bridge Street Theatre is at 44 West Bridge Street, Catskill.
Our mission is to enhance the cultural life of Catskill and the surrounding areas by presenting, independently and in concert with other artists, unique theatrical productions and other similar events unlike those generally available to audiences at other theaters in the region. To bring to light works we feel have been unjustly neglected, returning them to the stage where they belong. To present, devise, and commission brand-new works for the stage. To forge a diverse community of like-minded artists to aid in the creation of our work. To continue to locate and bring to our patrons the finest in local, national, and international talent. And to keep our ticket prices affordable and our work readily accessible to the widest possible audience.
