Blackfriars Theatre Presents TOM FOOLERY Beginning 12/3

Blackfriars Theatre, a not-for-profit professional theatre on East Main Street's "Theatre Row" will be opening "Tom Foolery," a musical with words and music by Tom Lehrer.

In concerts, television appearances and a series of now classic recordings, the Harvard educated math professor delighted millions of fans during the 1950's and 60's with his dry, cynical but good-natured attacks on topics like the A-bomb, racism, pollution, pornography, the military, the boy scouts, and of course, mathematics. Lehrer influenced comedians across the spectrum, from Steve Martin to Mark Russell.

Stage direction and production design is by John Haldoupis, with musical direction by David Labman.

Lighting design is by Ted Plant, and production stage management is by Carrie Grinstead.

Production dates are: Saturday, December 3, 10, January 7 at 8 pm, Friday, December 9, January 6, at 8 pm, Sunday, December 4, 11 at 2 pm, Wednesday December 7, at 7:30 pm, Thursday, December 8, January 5, at 7:30 pm,

There will be two New Year's Eve shows, Saturday, December 31, at 7 pm and 10 pm. (Ticket prices for these shows are the same as all other performances.)

Ticket prices are as follows: $27.00 Adult/$25.00 Senior/$17 Student - Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday

Blackfriars Theatre is located at 795 East Main Street, Just a few doors down from the Auditorium Theatre. There is parking available on site, and handicapped seating is available.
