Blackfriars Theatre Opens THE YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING 1/20

Blackfriars Theatre, a not-for-profit, professional theatre on Rochester's East Main Street "Theatre Row," is proud to announce the opening of "The Year Of Magical Thinking," a drama by Joan Didion.
In this dramatic adaptation of her award-winning and best-selling memoir, Joan Didion transforms the story of the sudden and unexpected loss of her husband and their only daughter into a stunning and powerful theatrical experience.

"It forces you to consider the transitory nature of human existence, the different faces of love and our smallness in the universe. How many plays can do all that?" - The Kansas City Star

"The Year Of Magical Thinking," stars Ginni Pierce, as Joan Didion, is directed by Barbara Biddy, with set design by John Haldoupis. Sound and projections are by Dave Baxter, and lighting is by Ted Plant.

Production dates are: Friday, January 20, 27 at 8pm, Saturday, January 21, 28 at 8pm, Sunday, Jan 22, 29 at 2pm, Wednesday, January 25, and Thursday, January 26 at 7:30pm.

Ticket prices are as follows:

$27.00 Adult/$25.00 Senior/$17 Student - Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday   

Blackfriars Theatre is located at 795 East Main Street, Just a few doors down from the Auditorium Theatre.  There is parking available on site, and handicapped seating is available.
MasterCard, Visa, and Discover are available at no additional charge.
