Wigwam

Camp Wigwam is a boys' residential summer camp on Bear Lake in Waterford, Maine, in the foothills of the White Mountains, founded in 1910 and now in its 116th season. It sits on 40 acres with a quarter mile of natural shoreline and serves boys ages 6 to 16 through a seven-week full summer, half-summer sessions, and two-week Rookie sessions for first-time campers age 11 and under. Programming covers tennis and golf, waterfront activities including swimming, sailing and waterskiing, athletics, visual and performing arts, rustic camping and field trips across Maine, plus camp-wide events. The camp emphasizes participation over strict competition and a low-pressure environment where each camper sets his own goals. Wigwam is accredited by the American Camp Association and a member of the Maine Summer Camps association.

Rates are all-inclusive except travel to and from camp and envelope money. $750 deposit accompanies registration; enrollment may be cancelled without obligation prior to February 1. Early-bird tuition locks in the prior year's rate if paid in full before October 1. Rookie sessions are for first-time campers age 11 and under.
