First Métis Man of Odesa, by Matthew MacKenzie and Mariya Khomutova, opens Theatre Calgary's 2026-27 season. Set against the backdrop of the pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, this poignant love story is brought to life by the playwrights themselves, who share their personal narrative of courtship during tumultuous times.
