David Ostwald's Louis Armstrong Eternity Band draws inspiration from jazz pioneers Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke, Duke Ellington, and Jelly Roll Morton, bringing life and passion to this American art form. Now in its 26th year of residency at Birdland Theater, the weekly post-workday engagement is led by tuba player David Ostwald. The band features a rotating lineup of talents including clarinetist Anat Cohen, trombonist/vocalist Wycliffe Gordon, pianist Ehud Asherie, and drummer Marion Felder.
