Afro Dominicano is a high-energy Afro-Caribbean fusion band based in New York City, led by Dominican vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Adriano Brito. The group blends traditional Dominican folkloric styles such as merengue típico, palo, and bachata with Afrobeat, reggae, funk, and rock, creating what they call a "sancocho musical" — a rich, layered sound that bridges roots and modern global influences. Their live show is both a musical journey and a cultural celebration, combining infectious rhythms, improvisation, and storytelling that connect deeply with diverse audiences. Afro Dominicano's performances invite the crowd into an immersive experience of rhythm, identity, and movement, where tradition meets innovation on stage.
