The Steven Frieder Quintet, featuring Steven Frieder on saxophone, Jon Irabagon on saxophone, Mike Eckroth on piano, Luca Rosenfeld on bass, ad Bob Meyer on drums and cymbals, will play The Metropolitan Room on March 14, 2017.

The premier performance of the Steven Frieder Quintet features new original compositions and arrangements.

Joining Frieder on saxophone is the 2008 Thelonius Monk Award winner Jon Irabagon (Tom Harrel, Luis Perdomo, Dave Douglas). Together these mighty saxmen explore the musical realms of Jazz, Latin Jazz, R&B and more.

Rounding out the quintet are pianist Mike Eckroth (Jon Scofield Quartet), bassist Luca Rosenfeld (Lew Soloff) and drummer Bob Meyer (Joe Lovano, John Abercrombie, MAl Waldron, Shelia Jordan). For more information visit www.stevenfrieder.com.
