WGN America's All New Series SHOOT THE MESSENGER Premieres 2/26 Image

When reporter Daisy Channing (Elyse Levesque) arrives to meet a source with explosive inside information, gunfire erupts, wounding her source, killing his friend and landing her in the middle of the story. While a parallel investigation into the murder begins, one helmed by Daisy and the other spearheaded by homicide Detective Kevin Lutz (Lyriq Bent), it is evident the two have a relationship that is more than just a vested interest in the case. As they dig deeper, in an all new episode of WGN America's original scripted series, "Shoot the Messenger" airing Monday, February 26 at 10:00 PM ET/9:00 PM CT, the now-missing source turns up more questions than answers, and it becomes clear that several well-connected people know much more than they're leading on.

"Shoot the Messenger" is co-created and written by Jennifer Holness with Sudz Sutherland of Hungry Eyes Media Inc. who also serves as lead director on the series. The eight-episode series is produced by Holness, Sutherland and Victoria Woods.

WGN America, the flagship entertainment destination of Tribune Media Company (NYSE: TRCO), is a nationally distributed television network whose reach is approaching 80 million homes via cable, satellite and telco.
