Voxnest, Jamendo Partner to Bring Complementary Tools and Services for Musicians, Podcasters

Podcasting solution provider Voxest today announced its partnership with independent music platform Jamendo that will bring each platform's users complementary new tools and services to enhance their work and grow their audiences.

The deal will enable musicians on Jamendo to more easily offer their compositions via Voxnest's Spreaker platform, while Spreaker users can easily license music from Jamendo, which elevates the production value of their content. For Voxnest and Jamendo, the partnership presents valuable cross-marketing opportunities, including product placement that will drive user acquisition. Both platforms are offering attractive incentives in support of this agreement.

The Spreaker platform currently has more than 60,000 active podcasters, while Jamendo has over 40,000 active artists and more than 600,000 tracks with close to 230,000 tracks submitted for licensing.

Recent acquisitions in the podcast market, including iHeartMedia and Spotify, signaled that the podcast business is seen as a way to enrich the music industry ecosystem with great benefit to the artistic community. Spreaker enables musicians using Jamendo to create podcasts as a way to promote their musical craft and to create an additional revenue stream via sponsorship or programmatic ad insertion. The spoken word format is the perfect medium for musicians to create a narrative about their songs, tours or build an intimate channel of conversation with their fans. Agencies and publishers who are already licensing music from Jamendo now have professional tools to create and distribute their branded audio content at their disposal.

Mattia Verzella, Head of Partnerships at Voxnest, explained, "Using the right music in a podcast is a powerful way to invoke emotions and build a deeper connection with listeners, however the convoluted rules around licensing have shied many audio producers away from even trying. With this deal, audio creators on Spreaker can now confidently choose music that will enhance their shows without fears they'll have issues of compliance."

"At Jamendo, we always focus on supporting and providing our independent artists and customers alike the tools they need to thrive and develop as professionals. Spreaker is the perfect fit for us as we continue this journey, connecting music creators with content creators, benefiting one another through a common creative effort. We are thrilled about this partnership and look forward to working together," said Jocelyn Seilles General Manager of Jamendo
