Vinita Nair Joins CBS NEWS as Correspondent

Vinita Nair has been named a correspondent for CBS NEWSPATH, the Network's 24-hour television news service to CBS stations and broadcasters around the world. She will be based in New York.

Before joining CBS NEWSPATH, Nair co-anchored ABC's WORLD NEWS NOW and AMERICA THIS MORNING, the network's early morning news programs, and was also a contributor to GOOD MORNING AMERICA (2008-2011). She joined ABC News in 2007 as an anchor and correspondent for ABC NEWS NOW.

Previously, Nair was a reporter and anchor at KWGN-TV in Denver (2003-2007). She was an anchor and reporter at KOLN/KGIN-TV in Lincoln, Neb. (2002-2003). Nair began her career in broadcast journalism at WGEM-TV in Quincy, Ill. (2002).

A native of Colleyville, Texas, Nair graduated from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She lives in New York City.
