Velocity Celebrates Four-Year Anniversary With Best 3Q Ever in Key Demos

As Velocity celebrates its four year anniversary this month, the latest ratings and delivery numbers prove the network's new car smell isn't fading any time soon for viewers. Velocity closed out summer by delivering its BEST 3Q EVER in Prime for Men 25-54, Persons/Men 18-49, Men 18-34, Men 18+, Persons 2+ and Households, and Velocity scored its highest rated third quarter ever for Men 18+ and Households. Since launching in October 2011 the network's delivery among its Men 25-54 target demo has grown 142-percent.
Third quarter growth in 2015 was driven by strong performances of signature franchises including season 12 of the global sensation WHEELER DEALERS. Produced by Discovery Networks International, WHEELER DEALERS episodes averaged 429,000 viewers (Persons 2+) which is up 13-percent versus season 11. A new season of the fan favorite restoration series FANTOMWORKS also drove success averaging 378,000 viewers (Persons 2+) in primetime, up six-percent over the previous season. Additionally, September 2015 marked 47 straight months of year-over-year delivery growth in Prime for Velocity among Households and Men (M18+). The month was also the highest delivering September ever for Velocity among Men 25-54, Men 18-49, Men 18+, Persons 18-34, Persons 2+ and Households.
