VIDEO: Watch the Final Teaser for Season 8 of GAME OF THRONES

HBO has released the final trailer for "Game of Thrones" season eight. The teaser pays tribute to George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire," the name of the novel series on which the series is based.

The eighth and final season of the fantasy drama television series GAME OF THRONES was announced by HBO in July 2016. Unlike the first six seasons that each had ten episodes and the seventh that had seven episodes, the eighth season will have only six episodes.

"Game of Thrones" premieres its final season in April 2019.
