TVGuide.com reports that Martin Starr and Ken Marino will reunite for the highly anticipated big screen adaptation of their TV series VERONICA MARS. Series creator Rob Thomas announced the news on Kickstarter.

In a video short posted on Youtube, Ken Marino announced in character that private detective 'Vinnie Van Lowe' will appear in the movie, but only because no one returned his calls. Check out the spoof below!

Martin Starr will portray a brand, new character in the storyline, Lou "Cobb" Cobbler, described as "another '09er returning for the school's 10-year reunion." "I'm so incredibly excited to work with Rob and Dan and Kristen and Enrico once again!" Starr said in the announcement. "Each one a treasure in a flesh casing."

The Kickstarter campaign for the Veronica Mars movie set all-time records, raising nearly $6 million when it launched in April. Returning cast members for the film which got underway in May include Jason Dohring, Enrico Colantoni, Percy Daggs III, Chris Lowell, Francis Capra, TINA MAJORINO, Amanda Noret, Sam Huntington, MAX GREENFIELD and Daran Norris
