A new kind of variety show, HITRECORD ON TV features host Gordon-Levitt directing a global online community of artists as they create short films, music, animation, and more. Anybody with an Internet connection is invited to contribute, and each episode focuses on a different theme.

The project was just named part of the Sundance Institute's 2014 "New Frontier" selections and will come out January 18th.
