Check out the newly released trailer for upcoming film SORRY TO BOTHER YOU. In an alternate present-day version of Oakland, telemarketer Cassius Green discovers a magical key to professional success, propelling him into a macabre universe.
The film, directed by Boots Riley, stars Lakeith Stanfield, Tessa Thompson, Armie Hammer, Terry Crews, Steven Yeun, Omari Hardwick, Jermaine Fowler, and Danny Glover.
Boots Riley is an American rapper, producer and film director best known as the lead vocalist of The Coup and Street Sweeper Social Club. Most of his works, although often about a personal experience (love, sex, broken-down cars, getting drunk, etc.), are tied to a radical class analysis of the current system and or situation. Some of his songs call for the overthrow of the ruling class by the working class.
The film originally premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and will open in theaters June 6, 2018.
