VIDEO: 60 MINUTES Spotlights 'Downton Abbey's Maggie Smith

Every bit as cantankerous as her character on "Downton Abbey," Dame Maggie Smith gave a rare and "spiky" interview to CBS's Steve Kroft on last night's 60 Minutes. In addition, Julian Fellowes, the creator of "Downton Abbey," discussed Maggie Smith's importance to his hit show and described a scene in which she created an extraordinary moment. Check out clips from last night's feature below!

Dame Maggie Smith plays the cantankerous countess Lady Grantham on the "Downton Abbey" television series. She has won two Oscars, three Emmys and a Tony Award and played roles in memorable movies, from her Oscar turns in "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie" and "California Suite" to the "Harry Potter" films.

The PBS television series, set in a WWI-era English manor, has made her more recognizable than at any other time of her long career. Nonetheless, Smith has no interest in her newfound celebrity. "Absolutely none," she says.
