VH1's BASKETBALL WIVES: LA is Sunday's #1 Cable Telecast Among Women

The ladies of the VH1 hit series "Basketball Wives: LA" kicked off a fourth season this past Sunday, ranking as the #1 cable telecast of the day among women, averaging a 1.9 in the Women 18-49 demo*.

The debut also averaged a 1.3 rating in the adult 18-49 demo in its 9 pm time slot - up +8% from the show's season three premiere. The one-hour telecast was seen by 1.9 million total viewers (P 2+).

VH1 also ranked as the #1 cable network among women 18-49 in primetime, fueled by the return of "Basketball Wives: LA" as well as a bonus episode of the hit show "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" was ranked as the #2 telecast among women for the day.

VH1 was the most social network on all of television in primetime with 157,400 total tweets from 45,200 Unique Authors (#1 for both metrics). VH1 had the top two most social series in primetime with the "Basketball Wives" premiere ranking #1 on all of television (including sports, broadcast, everything else) with 101,500 tweets. "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" was the #2 most social series in prime with 57,700 tweets.**

VH1's hit series "Basketball Wives: LA" is back for an explosive fourth season. Returning from last season are Draya Michele, Malaysia Pargo, Brandi Maxiell, and Jackie Christie. With Queen Bee and Executive Producer Shaunie O'Neal joining the LA crew, and the addition of three new ladies, the bar is set for a very exciting season. Jackie brings in friend and basketball girlfriend Mehgan James. Also joining the clique are the wife of player Eddy Curry and Malaysia's friend, Patrice Curry, and Draya's friend, fashion designer and ex- girlfriend of Tyreke Evens, Angel Brinks. Between the new personalities, major life challenges, and old resentments, sparks will fly. Shaunie O'Neal joins the LA ladies for some West coast fun but soon realizes that they are a very challenging group. When her old time East coast buddy, Tami Roman, joins the cast, the Basketball Wives: Miami / LA cast divide is set in stone.
