Timothee Chalamet to Star in Wes Anderson's THE FRENCH DISPATCH

According to Variety, Timothee Chalament will play a leading role in Wes Anderson's upcoming live action feature, "The French Dispatch."

Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand, Benicio del Toro and Jeffrey Wright will also star.

Anderson will write and direct the Scott Rudin-produced film. It's unclear if a distribution deal is officially closed but sources say the film is expected to be distributed by Fox Searchlight.

The film is set in the 1950s and follows journalists at an American newspaper bureau in 1950s Paris. While the film is set in Paris, Anderson has already started shooting in Angouleme in southwestern France.

Following his Oscar nomination for "Call Me By Your Name," Chalamet's star has only risen. He recently secured the lead in Legendary's "Dune" remake. He recently starred in Amazon's "Beautiful Boy."
