According to Deadline, BBC Two has ordered a third season of its drama PEAKY BLINDERS - and Netflix has agreed to bring it to U.S. audiences.

The third season will come to the streaming service after airing in the U.K., though a premeire date has not been set.

A gripping drama, "Peaky Blinders" takes place in 1919 Birmingham, England, and follows the Shelby family, who lead the title group -- a feared gang named for their practice of sewing razor blades into the peaks of their caps. Until now they have made money from illegal bookmaking, protection and the black market, but when a crate of guns from the local arms factory falls into his possession, Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy) recognizes an opportunity to move up in the world. As rival gangs, communist revolutionaries and IRA Fenians descend on the city in pursuit of the weapons, Winston Churchill DISPATCHES a ruthless police chief (Sam Neill) from Belfast to impose order on an increasingly lawless city and recover the guns.

Delivering "magnetic performances at every turn" (Metro UK), the series stars Cillian Murphy ("Inception," "The Dark Knight Rises"), Sam Neill ("The Tudors," "Jurassic Park"), Helen McCrory ("Hugo," "Harry Potter,"), Annabelle Wallis ("Snow White and the Huntsman", "The Tudors"), Paul Anderson ("The Firm"), Iddo Goldberg ("Secret Diary of a Call Girl") and Charlie Creed-Miles ("Wild Bill"). Tom Hardy ("Inception", "The Dark Knight Rises"), Noah Taylor ("Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", "Game of Thrones") and Charlotte Riley ("Edge of Tomorrow") join the cast for Season 2. Created and written by Steven Knight ("Dirty Pretty Things", "Eastern Promises").

"Peaky Blinders" is executive produced by Knight, Caryn Mandabach, Greg Brenman, Jamie Glazebrook, Frith Tiplady. Will Gould joins as an executive producer on season two. The series is a Caryn Mandabach Production and Tiger Aspect Production for BBC Two.
