The 2013 Texas Christian Film Festival will be honoring Houstonian Jeannette Clift George with their first Lifetime Achievement Award for her work in Christian Films including her Golden Globe nominated performance in "The Hiding Place." The presentation will be made during the screening of "The Hiding Place" on Saturday February 16, 2013.

The Texas Christian Film Festival will run February 14 -17, 2013 at Bethany Christian Church in Houston. Along with the Award presentation the festival is featuring 8 other selected films. Three films premiering at the event are: "Faith Under Fire" with producer/director Sondra Martin-Hicks attending to field questions, "Schafe - New Lyrics for an Old Love Song" producer Ken Bailey attending, and "Spirit of Love - the Mike Glenn Story" with director Darla Rae and former NBA Player and Fox Sports South analysts Mike Glenn present to answer questions and shoot a few hoops with attendees.

"We are certainly excited to be having the World Premier of our film at this festival," says Ken Bailey, producer. "Schafe" a musical documentary exploring the lyrics, music and miracles in the life of a former rocker who was given five months to live over six years ago.

"This church is a beautiful venue right in the center of Houston," shares Rev. Evan Dolive, spokesperson for the event. "We are pleased to be the site of the Texas Christian Film Festival. We believe just like stain glass art has been used for centuries to tell the story of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, new films are emerging to tell that story in fresh and exciting ways. Films which are not necessarily overtly Christian but well made pieces of art within which God can make surprising and delightful appearances."

All film screenings are Free but attendees should register online to ensure a seat. (two of the films are almost sold out) Paid events include a Valentine Dinner and a Texas Chili-cook-off.
